For more than 45 years, Ormiston Families has been helping children, young people and families across the East of England feel happier, stronger and understood. Our work is rooted in compassion, collaboration and effectiveness, and it is powered by people who genuinely care. When you join us, you become part of a team that believes in early intervention, trusted relationships and creating lasting change. We are committed to building an inclusive, supportive workplace where colleagues feel valued, encouraged to grow and proud of the impact they make every day. If you’re looking for a role where your therapeutic skills can transform lives, Supporting Smiles could be your next step.

Supporting Smiles is our dedicated Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service, offering needs‑led therapeutic support across Norfolk and Waveney. We work with children aged 4–13 through our Therapeutic Pathway and young people aged 5–18 through our Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner team. Whether a child lives locally or is registered with a Norfolk or Waveney GP, we are here to provide accessible, meaningful mental health support. Our service name — Supporting Smiles — was co‑created with the children and families we serve, reflecting our commitment to listening, involving and empowering those at the heart of our work.

As a CBT Therapist within Supporting Smiles, you will join a multidisciplinary team of therapeutic practitioners, counsellors and wellbeing practitioners delivering holistic mental health support. We offer sessions in community venues, schools and family hubs, and we work flexibly to ensure children and families can access the help they need. We are proud to be part of the Norfolk & Waveney Children and Young People’s Alliance, an integrated network guided by THRIVE principles: Getting Advice, Getting Help, Getting More Help and Risk Support. Alongside partners including The Benjamin Foundation, Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk County Council and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, we are committed to ensuring children and young people aged 0–25 receive the right support at the right time.

Ormiston Families is a values‑driven organisation with a strong reputation for impactful work. We foster a supportive, inclusive culture where your wellbeing and professional development truly matter. This role offers opportunities to grow your therapeutic practice within a collaborative team, giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and families across Norfolk and Waveney.
