Contract: Casual role over the summer holidays (2 positions available)

The College is seeking to recruit two Temporary Archives Project Assistants to support the preparation of student files for long-term preservation in the College Archives. These are casual roles over the summer holidays, with the successful candidates expected to start relatively soon.

The role will involve sorting through student files and identifying material that should not be retained for long-term storage, in line with a guidance document. The post holder will also prepare files for archiving by removing paper clips and staples, placing documents into archive folders, labelling folders, and packing them into archive boxes.

Full training will be provided. The work will take place in the Archive Centre, and the Archivist will be available to provide guidance and answer any questions.

The files may contain sensitive and confidential information. The successful candidate will therefore be required to sign and comply with a confidentiality agreement.
