The Warehouse Helper supports the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse by assisting with inventory handling, organization, cleanliness, and material movement. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting campus operations through coordinated logistics and facilities support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and distributing inventory and materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Restock, organize, and label inventory on shelves and in designated bin locations to maintain orderly storage.
  • Perform routine inventory counts, verify accuracy, and report discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping as needed.
  • Remove snow and ice by shoveling and salting entrances, walkways, and loading dock areas to ensure safe access.
  • Pull furniture and materials and coordinate deliveries with Grounds or other campus departments as required.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and applicable policies while performing assigned duties.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy boxes, furniture, and other materials safely.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions and established procedures.
