About the role
The role focuses on providing technical supervision and support for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programmes across healthcare settings. It includes overseeing case management, ensuring compliance with GBV standards, conducting field monitoring, and identifying service gaps. The position also involves building staff capacity through training and mentoring, strengthening referral systems and GBV mainstreaming, and ensuring proper reporting and documentation. Additionally, the role supports programme sustainability by mentoring partners and contributing to long-term planning and service quality improvement.
About You
The ideal candidate should have a background in psychology, gender studies, social work, or a related field, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should have extensive experience in GBV programming, including technical supervision, mentoring staff, capacity building, and working with NGOs or partner-led models. Knowledge of GBV standards, safeguarding, referral systems, and humanitarian principles is essential, along with experience in reporting and programme documentation. The role also requires strong coaching abilities, advanced computer skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while engaging with diverse stakeholders in both English and Arabic.
