As a Technical Leaning Specialist (TLS) your role is to train, coach and mentor our next generation of Guide Dog Trainers and Guide Dog Mobility Specialists. 

 

If you are looking to take the next step in your Guide Dogs career and want to inspire others through your knowledge, experience and passion then becoming a TLS allows you to make a bigger difference than ever before.  We now have an opportunity at our Bristol Office for a TLS (GDMS) to train three new Academy Guide Dog Mobility Specialists. 

 

Once you have been fully inducted and trained as a TLS you will receive your first learners.  You will use a blended learning approach to train them with a mixture of classroom and practical lessons. And you'll be supported in doing this by our industry-leading learning experience platform 'Guide Dogs Learning' as well from our highly experienced, collaborative wider Academy Team who will also help you further your own professional and technical expertise.

 Salary

Some of the essential criteria include:

  • GDMS qualified (including active practice within the last 5 years).  
  • Proven success in mentoring & coaching people in technical skills and theoretical knowledge.
