Team Vicar at St Peter’s Chalvey, Slough (two days/week plus Sunday)

Chaplain to Slough and Eton CofE Business and Enterprise College (3 days/week, term-time)

The Bishop of Buckingham and Slough and Eton School wish to appoint a priest for this parish and school. The priest appointed will offer an evangelistic, pastoral, sacramental and liturgical ministry within the Upton-cum-Chalvey team ministry, based primarily in St Peter’s Chalvey and pioneer an interfaith model of school chaplaincy in this diverse and dynamic school. The Parish and School are situated in the Chalvey district of Slough in the Deanery of Burnham and Slough.

We are praying for applicants who are:

• A priest in the catholic tradition of the church

• Someone who will delight in the cultural and religious diversity of Slough

• Easily approachable, sociable and can relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

• An understanding and non-judgemental pastor, able to minister to those of all faiths and world views

• An individual with a strong interest in inter-religious dialogue

• Energised by being a visible presence and community figure in Chalvey

• A creative and sensitive leader who can identify missional opportunities in our nuanced context
