Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working week: 5 days out of 7
Salary: £31,775 subject to April pay review

As a Team Manager in Supported Living at Minstead Trust, you will lead and inspire a team of around 20 staff across multiple locations in Totton, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support.
You will oversee day-to-day operations, providing clear direction, guidance, and supervision to staff while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. With a strong focus on individual outcomes, you will ensure services are tailored to meet the needs, preferences, and aspirations of the people we support. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, managing performance, and driving continuous improvement across all services under your leadership.
What you’ll do:
Service Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop your staff team in line with Trust values.
- Support recruitment, induction and staff probation processes.
- Work with the Admin Team and Registered Manager to plan effective staffing schedules.
- Maintain safety for people we support, staff and visitors through robust assessments.
- Raise and manage safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Oversee budgeting and report on financial performance.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
Quality & Impact
- Ensure consistently outstanding service delivery aligned with CQC standards.
- Complete and utilise monthly monitoring to improve support provision.
- Drive continuous service development and quality improvement.
- Monitor health and safety, collaborating with landlords where needed.
People We Support
- Complete detailed needs assessments and person‑centred support plans.
- Monitor risks and ensure documentation is accurate, reflective and regularly reviewed.
- Champion individuals’ wishes, independence, and choices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, professional relationships with families, external agencies and partners.
- Ensure all communication complies with GDPR and respects individual rights.
Team Leadership
- Provide guidance, supervision and coaching to Senior Support Workers and Support Staff.
- Address performance concerns proactively.
- Ensure best‑practice standards are consistently understood and met.
- Support ongoing training, development and embedding of learning into daily practice.
- Promote a culture where every moment is an opportunity for empowerment.
Additional Expectations
- Use and continually develop knowledge of Minstead Trust digital systems.
- Uphold professional conduct at all times.
- Participate in the Out‑of‑Hours Support System.
- Carry out sleep‑in duties if required.
- Manage your working hours across a 7‑day schedule.
About you – Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Health & Social Care sector
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role (Senior Support Worker/Team Leader level)
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) (Required)
- Willingness to work towards a Level 4 Diploma.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop others
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management
- Strong communication skills
- Solid understanding of CQC standards, MCA, safeguarding, and positive risk-taking
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or behaviours of concern
- Confident IT user (Windows, MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
