We are delighted to offer an exciting 12-month fixed-term Team Manager opportunity at our Cornish Close Supported Living Service in Wythenshawe.

About the Service

Cornish Close consists of five terraced bungalows situated in Wythenshawe. We provide 24-hour supported living support for up to 14 adults with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and complex health conditions.

Our focus is on delivering high-quality, person-centred support that enables people to live meaningful, independent lives. We work closely with families, professionals, and the people we support to create positive outcomes, promote independence, and build a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As Team Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the service, supporting staff to deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred support. You will provide visible day-to-day leadership, coaching and guidance to Lead Support Workers and Support Workers, while working closely with fellow Team Managers and the Supported Living Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your operational management skills, strengthen your leadership capabilities, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead, motivate and support staff to deliver outstanding care and support.
  • Develop your leadership and people management skills through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of the service.

  • Build experience managing compliance, quality assurance, workforce planning and operational performance.
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide practical, visible and supportive leadership across the service.
  • Support, coach and develop Lead Support Workers and Support Workers to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on person-centred support, independence and inclusion.
  • Ensure support plans and risk assessments are implemented and reviewed effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements and CQC standards.
  • Complete health and safety, finance, medication and quality assurance checks.
  • Support effective roster management and work within agreed financial frameworks.
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals and external partners.
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operate flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support, coaching and service cover where required.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Resilient, adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Committed to supporting people to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.
  • Keen to learn, grow and further develop their leadership and management skills.

You will also have:

  • Experience leading or supervising teams within a health, social care or community setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, families, professionals and the people we support.
  • Good organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • An understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
  • Experience of promoting quality, safety and compliance within a service environment.
  • A willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 4 or 5 qualification if not already achieved.
