We have a new exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures team at HMP Warren Hill. Phoenix Futures is looking to recruit a Team Manager to lead our specialist psychosocial substance use service team.

Are you looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity that makes a difference?

We are recruiting a Team Manager for our specialist psychosocial substance misuse service. A passionate and skilled team provide tailored interventions to service users who are located within the challenging prison environment. You will work closely with the Service Manager to continue to develop the team and service. This service is one of many prison based services across England, therefore the successful candidate will be able to share best practice and support from our services within the Phoenix Futures Group.

The role

  • This role ensures the efficient delivery of a comprehensive prison servicewith emphasis on responding to individual needs and bringing innovation to service delivery.
  • You will manage and support a teamof Substance Use Practitioners providing support and leadership in all areas of delivery.
  • You will ensure that service delivery is in line withrecommended professional good practiceand Phoenix Future’s processes and policies and practices and that the reasonable expectations of service users, commissioners and other stakeholder are met.
  • You will maintain a recovery-orientated approachto all undertakings and a demonstrable commitment to continued professional learning & development.

About you

  • Experience of the substance misuse sector or related field
  • Experience of delivering high quality work with service users
  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by men entering custody
  • A desire to work in collaboration with healthcare, mental health, community agencies and the prison service whilst adhering to security requirements
  • A passion for supervision and developing your supervisees
  • Willingness to support your Service Manager in leadership, managing the workload & data management

Your rewards

  • Starting salary of £27,000, with opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase of up to £31,750
