Team Leader - SHAP and Domestic Abuse Projects (Maternity Cover)
Location: Bradmarsh
Salary: £30,104 per annum (pro rata)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary - 9 months (may be extended)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our dedicated team in Sheffield.
As a visible and proactive Team Leader, you will help our Service Manager to create a supportive and empowering environment for staff and our service users alike.
The successful candidate will have experience in working with people with severe multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, offending history, diagnosed mental health conditions, adverse childhood experiences and domestic abuse. You will have a broad understanding of both support and housing pathways, alongside psychological interventions. Above all, we are looking for an empathic, person-centred and understanding individual to support and help lead team.
General Tasks
- Facilitating continual professional development through an intensive training program
- Lead and participate in team meetings
- Line manage the staff team including carrying out supervisions, appraisals and managing performance
- Have oversight of complex cases and mentor the staff team
- Manage difficult situations and challenges including complaints
- Attend multi disciplinary meetings, ensuring Target is positively represented
- Collate data and compile reports on project activity
- Perform other such duties as may be required to further aims of Target Housing within the Health and Safety requirements.
- Adhere to all of Target Housing’s policies and procedures in particular our Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality and Health and Safety policies.
- Carry out other such duties as directed by senior managers as appropriate to the aims of Target Housing.
Requirements
- An individual who embraces challenges enthusiastically
- An understand of the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Practice
- At least 3 years’ experience of supporting people with multiple complex needs
- Experience of the housing/homelessness sector
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding and risk management
- Experience of writing reports
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Previous management experience preferred
