This role offers an excellent development opportunity for colleagues who are looking to progress into a leadership position or further build on existing supervisory experience within social care.
About the role
As a Team Leader, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of the service. You will lead by example, providing high-quality, person-centred support while guiding and developing a team of Support Workers.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to the staff team

Supporting, coaching and mentoring colleagues to develop their skills and confidence

Coordinating daily support and activities to ensure a high-quality, responsive service
-
Effectively deploying staffing resources
-
Providing direct support and modelling best practice
-
Supporting with compliance, standards of care and use of resources
The support we provide is centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs, including daily living skills, personal care, medication support and accessing the community.
All Team Leaders work flexibly as part of a rota to support a 24/7 service.
About you
This role would suit someone who:

Is a confident communicator with a calm and resilient approach

Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills

Has experience supporting people with a learning disability

Has experience supporting or developing colleagues within a team
Desirable (but not essential):

Previous supervisory or management experience
-
A relevant social care qualification
-
A management qualification
A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential for this role.
