Exciting Opportunity: Team Leader for Bradford East & West

This is an exciting opportunity to join Carers’ Resource, a growing and thriving charity which supports unpaid carers: people who are looking after a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage otherwise because of frailty, illness or disability.

We are looking for a Team Leader to manage a small team of locality workers covering Bradford East and West, alongside holding a personal caseload.


Hours:            37 hours per week

Base:              Shipley office with occasional opportunities to work from home

Salary:            £26,892 – £29,549 (FTE)

Role Overview: your role will involve promoting, supporting and improving the mental, physical, emotional and economic wellbeing of unpaid carers, so they can continue in their caring role. You will work closely with the Service Manager to support staff and to develop and deliver safe and effective carer services. You will manage a complex workload of both management and casework.

You must own transport and a clean driving license.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing staff and contributing to their development.
  • An understanding of carers’ needs and awareness of current issues affecting carers.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with carers on a personal level and the ability to lead and motivate.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and demands of the role.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of carers.
  • Competent user of IT, email, Microsoft Office, CRM databases.
  • Able to travel around Bradford district and around other Carers’ Resource offices.
