Help support the Arts in Wales

Are you someone who enjoys organising, supporting others, and keeping things on track?

Are you passionate about the arts and the role they play in communities across Wales?

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need to have worked in an arts organisation before. We know experience comes from many places — work, volunteering, study, personal interests or community involvement. What matters most to us is your ability to support others, stay organised and work collaboratively.

We are looking for two full‑time Team Co‑ordinators to join our Arts teams and help support creative activity across Wales.

About this role

Team Co‑ordinators play an important role in supporting the day‑to‑day work of the Arts Council of Wales. You’ll help teams stay organised, communicate clearly and deliver their work smoothly. You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Coordinating emails, information and correspondence
  • Managing diaries and appointments
  • Organising and supporting meetings
  • Acting as a key point of contact to support clear communication and co-ordination between teams.
  • Supporting both day‑to‑day team activity and wider corporate projects

The role is varied and collaborative, and you’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation and support activity that help artists, organisations and communities across Wales.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for individuals that are organised, reliable and enjoy supporting others.

This role may suit you if you:

  • Are excellent at planning and keeping things running smoothly
  • Have experience providing administrative support in a busy environment
  • Are confident using IT and digital systems
  • Can prioritise tasks and work independently
  • Can set up, maintain, and run efficient administrative systems and processes
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people

Welsh language

We work in both English and Welsh.

Welsh language skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to communicate in both English and Welsh in meetings, individually and in public. We are looking for an individual who understands the culture of Wales; the diverse relationship of the people of Wales with the Welsh language and who is committed to ensuring a progressive use of Welsh linguistically and culturally within the Arts Council and the wider sector. Everyone's story with the language is different and we recognise that Welsh language confidence levels vary from person to person. We welcome applications from individuals who want to increase their confidence and those who have learnt the language fluently.

Our commitment to inclusion

We're looking for fresh perspectives and new voices – whether you're D/deaf, disabled, neurodiverse, from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, from the LGBTQ+ community or have taken unconventional paths to get where you are. Your lived experience matters here.

We are a Disability Confident Employer, committed to interviewing all disabled applicants who meet all essential criteria set out in the person specification.

Please refer to this link for further details.

We’ll support you as you settle into the organisation, even if some things are new to you. During your induction, you can also receive mentoring or training if you need it.

Flexible Working

We want to help staff balance work and life, so we welcome requests for flexible working or job‑share arrangements. We’re also part of the Happy to Talk Flexible Working initiative, which means we’re open to discussing flexibility from the moment you apply.

If you’d like to work different hours from those advertised, please let us know your preferences in your covering email when you apply.

How to apply

Please submit the Application Form in Word format to HR@arts.wales

Please complete the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring Form via the Microsoft Forms link that can be found in the application form.

If you would like to submit your application in an alternative format, such as voice note, video or British Sign Language video, please contact us first.

You can apply in Welsh or English. Applications in Welsh will not be treated less favourably.
