The University of Aberdeen wishes to appoint a teaching fellow (Grade 6, 0.8 FTE) in Art History for four months (though may be up to 9 months) from 1 June 2026. This is to cover a period of maternity leave. Applicants should have demonstrable expertise and teaching experience in art history or a cognate discipline

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist with ongoing delivery and assessment of taught courses across the art history undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants should have a PhD in Art History (or cognate discipline) or be close to completion with a developing profile of research or scholarship, commensurate to experience. The post is to cover the maternity leave of the fixed term post holder.

Salary will be at Grade 6, £38,784 per annum, pro rata for 0.8 FTE, actual rate of pay £31,027.20 per annum
