The role is a job share and will involve supporting a hearing-impaired student in Year 9. This will bein class, on a 1:1 basis, under the direction of the subject teacher, and with small group and 1:1 activities underthe direction of the SENCO.Working alongside the SENCO and other key school staff, you will promote the maintenance of a calm, safeand purposeful learning environment. You will provide communication support throughout the school day toenable full access to the curriculum and extracurricular activities for the student with hearing impairment.You will help to promote her independence skills in communication, learning and social skills within theschool setting.
