We are recruiting for a Teacher of Physics to join our Science Department. The Science Department consists of fourteen teaching members of staff and three technicians. Within that team, the Physics Department comprises four teaching colleagues and is supported by two technicians. The Department’s nine laboratories have recently been transformed into excellent, modern spaces that provide outstanding environments for both learning and teaching. All science staff are expected to contribute to the full breadth of the curriculum, teaching pupils across every year group from inspiring younger students in Lower School science to guiding our A‑level candidates through the more advanced aspects of the subject. In the Department, we enjoy a friendly yet professional atmosphere, and the pupils and students benefit from our ‘open door’ policy for seeking help, advice and support whenever possible. We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaged and professional applicant who is willing to involve themselves thoroughly in the Department and in all aspects of School life. As a successful and integral part of Cokethorpe School, we offer a positive and productive learning environment, and the successful applicant can expect to work with a welcoming and extremely helpful group of colleagues.
