TEACHER OF PHYSICS
(Full-time maternity cover – fixed-term for one year)

An enthusiastic, inspiring, Physics teacher with outstanding subject knowledge is required from
September  2026 to teach  at  all  stages  of the  School,  including  A  Level. Physics  and  the  other
sciences are very well resourced and are popular at the School. Results in the department are
strong.

About You
The  successful  candidate  will  have  energy,  drive  and  great  ideas,  whether  as  an  experienced
teacher of Physics, or an able NQT who can meet the demands of a thriving Physics department.

Our teachers seek to encourage both class and individual study beyond the requirements of the
curriculum.  You will be expected to contribute to the co-curricular offerings of the department and
the  wider  life  of  the  School,  to  which  your  energy,  warmth  and  pastoral  instincts  will  lend
themselves.

Founded in 1646, Reading Blue Coat is a leading independent day school of circa 800 pupils
from ages 11 to 18. The School is located on a beautiful 46-acre campus in the village of
Sonning, just outside Reading.
