Teacher of Mathematics for September 2026

We seek an enthusiastic and conscientious Mathematics Teacher to join our friendly and successful senior school department
in September 2026.

Applicants  should  have  a  good  degree  with  mathematical  content  and  will  be  able  to  teach  Advanced  Level  Mathematics.
Further Mathematics teaching may be available for a suitable candidate.

We welcome applications from graduates, ECTs and experienced teachers. If a graduate or ECT were appointed to the post,
a high level of structured support and guidance (meeting statutory requirements) would be provided to ensure progression
towards the successful completion of their training or induction period. We pride ourselves on the level of support and care
given to teachers in the early stages of their careers.

The Maths Department currently consists of a team of 14 enthusiastic and approachable teachers who regularly share teaching
ideas and resources. The department’s priorities are to help all students to achieve their full potential and to get students
enthused about mathematics. We constantly review and improve our practice and strive to be excellent teachers.

Examination  results  for  the  department  are  exceptionally  strong  with  many  pupils  going  on  to  take  A  level  and  Further
Mathematics  in  the  Sixth  Form.  We  support  students  with  their  preparation  for  Mathematical  courses  at  university  by
encouraging them to read books about maths, arranging conferences and lectures and providing support for MAT, AEA and
STEP.

current  CV  and  details  of  two  referees,  who  will  be  contacted  prior  to  interview,  in  accordance  with  the  School’s  Safer
Recruitment procedures. There will be an interview, task and lesson observation for short listed candidates.
