    Teacher of Learning Enhancement and Tutorwho combines deep pedagogical expertise with a heart for inclusion. This is more than a teaching role; it is an opportunity to be a champion for neurodiverse learners within a vibrant, forward-thinking school community.The Role

    As a specialist in Learning Enhancement, you will be at the forefront of our mission to provide a truly personalised education. You will balance high-impact classroom teaching with a strategic, consultative approach - supporting both our pupils and your fellow teaching staff.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Expert Instruction: Plan and deliver well-structured, inspiring lessons across various ages and abilities, adapting your style to meet the specific needs identified on our SEND, Welfare, and Academic Progress registers.

    • Holistic Tutoring: Act as a Tutor to a group of pupils, providing the essential pastoral support that underpins academic success. You will be their primary advocate, monitoring their well-being and guiding their personal development

    • Subject Advocacy: Maintain and share a high level of expertise in neurodiversity and special educational needs (SEN).

    • Collaborative Support: Act as a vital bridge for subject teachers, ensuring they understand the unique needs of their pupils and are equipped with the best strategies to support them.

    • Holistic Development: Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to our "supra-curriculum," digital literacy initiatives, and our extensive co-curricular and weekend programmes.

    • Professional Excellence: Embody the highest standards of the DfE Teachers’ Standards, proactively seeking out innovations in pedagogy to keep Bede’s at the cutting edge of inclusive education.

    What You’ll Bring
    • Qualified Status: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable, demonstrating your commitment to the professional standards of the DfE

    • A Specialist Lens: A deep understanding of the educational provision for neurodiverse learners and a commitment to sustaining this expertise.

    • Adaptability: The ability to pivot your teaching methods to ensure that every pupil - no matter their learning profile - is effective, continuous, and successful.

    • Communication Skills: The diplomacy and clarity to liaise with faculty members, parents, and pupils, fostering a culture of equality, diversity, and kindness.

    • Energy and Engagement: A willingness to dive into the full life of the School, from trips and evening duties to contributing to a stimulating physical and digital learning environment.
