Rate of Pay: Starting from £24,632 (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect the number of days worked)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of English who will be based at The Lighthouse in Kingsteignton and required to teach Functional Skills, GCSE and A Level.  Our ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, will actively champion the Trust’s values and maintain a professional attitude that is representative of Breakthrough Transformation Trust.  

We are looking for someone who has diverse experience, as well as a passion for working with young people with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be expert at engaging students with autism or significant challenges. They will plan, prepare and deliver therapeutic and academic teaching on a one to one basis to individual students. They will work cohesively with Core Workers and our in-house therapeutic team to follow care plans and assist in creating educational schemes of work, write reports and keep accurate, up to date records. They will need to ensure the highest standards of professional practice and safeguarding. We employ teachers from a range of backgrounds, including teachers who are looking for a change in career direction.
