Do you enjoy supporting young people to achieve? Are you enthusiastic, proactive and positive about Education? Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people?

We are thrilled to announce that, as our school continues to grow, expand its vision, and enrich its curriculum offer, we are introducing an additional Teacher of English role to further enhance and build on the success of our English department.

We are inviting an exceptional educator to join our thriving, highperforming, and oversubscribed secondary school.

You will join a supportive team with collaborative, respectful colleagues, both within the English department and the wider school and Trust community, who all aspire to delivering outstanding teaching and sharing best practice. We are looking for a passionate and driven teacher who is dedicated to ensuring every student achieves their full potential and develops a love of learning.

We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced colleagues. During the school’s continued growth, there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to teaching in an additional subject area during the first year, before moving towards a predominantly English based timetable thereafter

Our students are a pleasure to teach, they are motivated, articulate and respectful and we pride ourselves on our strong staff–student relationships. We are a caring community and were proud to be recognised by Ofsted as the ‘happiest school in Somerset in 2025’.

Join us at Sexey’s School and be part of a team committed to being exceptional in all that we do.

Sexey's School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
