The Post:
We are seeking a well-qualified, experienced, and caring Teacher of Economics & Mathematics to join our dedicated teaching staff, from September 2026, on a permanent basis. This is a full-time vacancy.
Economics is taught only at A Level in Sixth Form, with Maths being taught at both GCSE in Key Stage 4 and A Level in Sixth Form.
The ability to teach Economics at A Level in Sixth Form is, therefore, essential, as is the ability to teach Maths at GCSE in Key Stage 4.
The ability to teach Maths at A Level in Sixth Form would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The successful candidate should be a highly effective practitioner with a passion for Economics and Maths, excellent subject knowledge, and a proven track record of driving strong pupil engagement, progress, and examination outcomes in the subjects.

Degree in an Economics and / or Mathematics specialism
• Excellent subject knowledge and passion for both Economics and Mathematics
Experience of teaching GCSE Mathematics
Experience of teaching A Level Economics
• Proven track record of outstanding classroom practice
• Committed to raising standards and monitoring student progress
Ability to adapt and differentiate their lessons and teaching to suit the needs of the students; maximising their progress
• Proficient with the use of ICT in the classroom
Confident in using new technologies to share and promote good practice
Ability to liaise closely with middle and senior management, including heads of year and form tutors, regarding attainment, behaviour and attendance.
Desirable
Experience of and / or ability to teach A Level Mathematics to Sixth Form
• Prior involvement in curriculum design or department initiatives
Competence in using digital platforms and online resources for Economics and Mathematics
• Enthusiastic, caring, innovative and creative
• Contribution to co-curricular or enrichment Economics and Mathematics activities
