A Co-Educational Independent Day School for Students aged 11-18 TEACHER OF DESIGN TECHNOLOGY (Part-time or full-time maternity cover – minimum of 0.6FTE) We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Design Technology to join us from September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Design Technology Department is a thriving and successful one. It is housed in a new state-of-the-art Design Technology Centre, fitted with a metalwork shop, a polymer workshop (including a fleet of 3D printers, a CNC machinery and a laser cutter), a woodwork shop and our 21st Century library, research and design facility. Each year the department encourages all students in Years 7 to 9 with extended design-make activities as well as preparing students for a GCSE in Resistant Materials and A Level in Product Design which leads many to go on to study for degrees in Engineering, Product Design and Architecture. About You The ideal candidate will have outstanding specialist subject knowledge. Students in Years 10 and 11 sit for the AQA Design and Technology examination. Our A Level students follow the AQA Product Design course. Applicants should have a passion for their subject and a desire to inspire students and prepare them for exams. You will contribute to the co-curricular offerings of the departments and the wider life of the School, to which your energy, warmth and pastoral instincts will lend themselves.
