Part–Time Teacher of Classics to start September 2026 or January 2027
Fixed term contract ending 31 st August 2027
We are seeking a part-time Teacher of Classics to join us on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of “a school like no other” and teach Classical subjects to GCSE, and possibly A Level, students.
We welcome applications from well-qualified graduates with a passion for Classics and the ability to inspire young people. A formal teaching qualification is not essential; we would also be pleased to hear from recent graduates considering a career in teaching or experienced professionals looking for a career change.
The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm, subject expertise, and a commitment to high-quality teaching. Creativity, innovation, and the ability to engage pupils both within and beyond the classroom are highly valued. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the wider co-curricular life of the School.
In your personal statement, please demonstrate how you meet the requirements outlined in the role description and person specification. Salary will be commensurate with experience and paid in accordance with the Christ’s Hospital teachers’ salary scale.
