Teacher of 3D Design with Art for September 2026, full-time

We are looking for an inspirational and passionate 3D design teacher with strong creative credentials to
join the Art and Design faculty. Applicants should have a good degree or experience working in or teaching
3D Design, and be engaged in Contemporary Design Practice, either by visiting exhibitions, or keeping
informed about current design issues.

We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers. If an ECT were appointed to the post, a high level
of structured support and guidance (meeting statutory requirements) would be provided to ensure progression
towards the successful completion of their training or induction period. We pride ourselves on the level of support
and care given to teachers in the early stages of their careers.

The successful candidate will:

•  have a passionate interest in the subject.
•  be an outstanding classroom teacher.
•  possess creativity, strong organisational abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
•  be likely to have experience of computer-generated drawing and design.
•

join  a  talented  and  friendly  team  who  are  responsible  for  rapid  expansion  and  exceptional
examination results.

 Experience of delivering architectural units would be a benefit but is not a requirement for application

The Creative Art and Design Faculty

All pupils take Art and Design including textiles and 3D Design in Year 7 & Year 8 and in Year 9 students opt
for Art, Textiles or 3D Design before making their GCSE choices. Textiles and 3D Design following Edexcel
and AQA specifications. Photography, Art and 3D Design are all popular options in the sixth form.

The faculty is well served with excellent facilities. The team of 8 teachers and 2 technicians share ideas
and support each other in this friendly and supportive faculty.

and will be expected to bring a portfolio of their own work, if applicable, and examples of taught projects.
