Teacher Fellowship / Secondment

The main aim of this opportunity – Teacher Fellowship – is to build and strengthen engagement between schools and Amgueddfa Cymru sites through the development of resources and workshops that support learners through the collections.

Through a fully funded secondment, the Amgueddfa Cymru Teacher Fellowships programme will give a secondary school teacher the opportunity to work part-time within Amgueddfa Cymru’s Learning Team, supporting the department to develop their learning offer, increase engagement with schools and creating experiences for teaching and learning of Curriculum for Wales in schools based on the collection and our sites.

Working collaboratively, we will create unique learning opportunities rooted in collections at our museums and in the classroom. The resources will prioritise Curriculum development in Progression Steps 3-5 and support and align with Curriculum for Wales and WJEC Subject Specific Specifications.

The Teacher Fellowship will work with the Formal Learning team to ensure that outputs are responsive to both learners and school needs.

This project will also have lasting benefit for all schools and learners who take part in our learning programme in the future.
