Systems Engineer

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking to join an ambitious technology team?

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Systems Engineer to work on a range of technical projects and provide second line support.

Reporting into the Lead Solutions Architect, this is the ideal opportunity for a technically savvy Systems Engineer or similar to take on a varied and impactful role.

Salary

The salary for this position is £58,000 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical solutions and support the Lead Solutions Architect to deliver technical projects.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk, providing second line support.
  • Provide administration, configuration, maintenance and support of core systems and platforms including Windows, MacOS and iOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra, Intune and JAMF, identity and access management solutions and AV technologies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Resolve incidents and deliver technical solutions in line with organisational requirements and the strategic direction set by the Lead Solution Architect

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Previous experience working on technical projects and providing second line support.
  • Experience acting as point of escalation for service desk.
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Azure and Entry experience.
  • Intune and JAMF experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Proactive problem solver.
