About the home

At Sunnyside, no two days are ever the same — and that’s what makes working here so special. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team who work together to provide meaningful, person-centred care for seven wonderful adults aged between their 40s and 70s. Our residents have a range of needs including PMLD, autism, epilepsy and communication support plans, and we’ll give you all the training you need to feel confident in your role.

Sunnyside is set in a peaceful village community with lots of local events at the pavilion, so there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about. Because of the location, being a driver is essential (we have both manual and automatic vehicles available)

About the role

Every night, you’ll help create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support.
Your role will include:

  • Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
  • Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs – so we can provide the best care possible.
  • Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
  • Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
  • Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings compassion, reliability, and a genuine desire to make a difference. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Care deeply about people and want to help create safe, positive nights for those who need support.
  • Value inclusion and respect, treating everyone with dignity and kindness.
  • Stay calm and reassuring, even when things feel challenging – your presence makes a difference.
  • Enjoy working independently but also feel part of a team that shares the same purpose.
  • Are comfortable using technology to keep accurate records and follow support plans.
  • Can provide personal care when needed, always with empathy and understanding.
  • Bring flexibility and reliability, knowing that your role is essential to someone’s wellbeing.
