Support Worker - Supported Living
Have you been inspired by looking after someone close to you or fancy a career change into something that makes a real difference. We have an exciting opportunity for a male Support Worker to join us in our remarkable supporting living model in Southbourne.

The role:
Aspire in Southbourne is a supported living property where seven residents live independently in their own self-contained flat where we provide support through life transitions from living at home to living independently.
You could be assisting with everyday tasks from laundry, weekly food shopping as well as encouraging with meal preparing and creating healthy food options.
The support doesn’t just stop there! You would also help build their confidence in a wider setting, from being on hand to provide advice with work placements, as well as developing day to day interactions.
This role would suit someone with a warm, attentive nature, who is physically active and comfortable spending a lot of the day on their feet, whilst having enthusiasm to empower the people we support so they can thrive.
Hours:
This would be a mixture of shifts between 7am – 10pm - Monday - Sunday
This role would include alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
A support workers day would include:
- Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
- Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
- Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
- Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
