– Current Support Worker
You’ll support six individuals (five gentlemen and one lady), aged from their 20s to 60s, each living in their own self-contained flat within a supported living setting. There is no core shared support — you’ll focus on building strong, meaningful relationships and tailoring support to each person’s unique needs.
People you’ll support may have:

• Learning disabilities
• Cerebral palsy
• Epilepsy
• Behaviours of distress (three people have PBS plans)
Shifts include:
• Early: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Late: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Day: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Sleep-in: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
A wonderfully varied and active group, with hobbies including:
• Walking, bowling and archery
• Plane spotting and dining out
• Music sessions, singing and musicals
• Cooking (with supervision), cleaning and daily routines
• Spending quality time with friends and staff
Family involvement is strong, and you’ll be part of a team that values and supports these relationships.
You’ll bring kindness, patience and confidence — especially when lone working. You’ll adapt your communication style, stay organised with routines, and be motivated by making a genuine difference every day.
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Confident & responsible (comfortable with lone working)
• Patient, kind and calm in their approach
• Organised and detail-oriented
• Dynamic, person-centred and proactive
• A driver with an auto-friendly licence (essential)
Whether you’re experienced or completely new to support work, we’ll provide all the training you need to thrive.
• Personal care, varying by individual needs
• Promoting independence and supporting skill-building
• Adapting communication styles to suit each person
• Cooking and meal preparation, including following SALT plans
• Administering medication, including rescue medication for epilepsy
• Following PBS plans to support individuals with behaviours of distress
• Lone working while staying connected to the wider team
• A competitive pay rate with uplift for overtime you choose to work
• Flexible shift patterns to support your work–life balance
• 30 days paid annual leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
• Opportunities for career progression
• Supported Learn to Drive scheme (up to 30 lessons + tests paid for)
