Are you passionate about supporting people with complex mental health needs and helping them move forward in their recovery? If you have experience working with this client group and want to make a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a part-time Support Worker to join our team at Jubilee Mews, one of our 24-hour specialist Adult Services, on a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Jubilee Mews supports adults living with mental health needs who may also experience multiple complex and interconnected challenges. Many of the people we support have experienced trauma, and we understand that behaviours that challenge are often an expression of unmet need. Our team focuses on building supportive, trusting relationships that provide stability, consistency and compassion.
As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting people on their recovery journey. Working alongside our Mental Health Nurses and Clinical Leads, you will help individuals build independence, develop life skills and take positive steps towards their goals.
We work in the least restrictive way, offering ‘just enough’ support to help people take positive risks, grow in confidence and move towards living more independently within the community.
This is a 24-hour service, so the role includes rota-based shift work across a 7-day week, including waking night shifts.
Evidence of vaccinations or a medical exemption letter will be required. We follow this approach to help keep the people we support, their families and our colleagues as safe as possible.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Knowledge and experience of working with people with complex mental health needs, who can display behaviours that challenge.
- A genuine desire to work with this client group.
- Able to work well as part of team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with the people we care for.
- Able to recognise and maintain appropriate boundaries and awareness of safeguarding issues.
