About the Role
We are looking for a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join our friendly team in Bracknell.
You will be supporting 4 ladies and 1 gent, aged between their 20s and 60s, to live the lives they choose. The people we support have a range of needs including learning disabilities, Down syndrome, dementia, limited verbal communication, and may at times display behaviours of distress.
No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in helping the people we support enjoy the things that matter most to them, including:
- Trips to the local pub
- Days out to the beach
- Attending learning disability discos and social events
- Relaxing at home
- Going on holidays
- Listening to music
- Accessing their local communities and pursuing personal interests
You will provide person-centred support, promote independence, and help create meaningful opportunities and experiences every day.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Confident supporting people with a range of support needs
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Able to assist with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairs
- A positive team player with a willingness to learn and develop
Previous experience in support work is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
