Working at Dimensions means becoming part of one of the UK’s most respected not-for-profit organisations in adult social care. Here, you’ll join a warm, values-led team that genuinely cares—about the people we support and about each other.
Whether you’re starting your career in care or looking for your next step, you’ll find a place where you can grow. We offer fantastic training, development opportunities, and a clear path for progression, so you can build a future you’re proud of.
About the Home
We’re currently looking for Female Support Workers to join our dedicated team in a modern supported living home, where 13 wonderful individuals—aged from their late 20s to late 70s—live full, meaningful lives.
It’s a truly lovely place to work: warm, welcoming, and always filled with things to do. From seasonal celebrations to fun-filled activities, there’s always something happening—
and yes, we even host our own discos and parties!
What Life Looks Like Here
This is a home where relationships truly matter. With your support, the people who live here enjoy a rich and varied life, including:
- Medical appointments
- Friendship groups
- Discos and parties
- Work placements
- Cinema trips
- Food and clothes shopping
- Theatre visits
- Day trips — including favourites like Blackpool!
Many people here are quite independent — some even access the community on their own. Personal care needs are minimal, mostly gentle prompts and reassurance rather than full support.
You’ll also provide day-to-day support around the home, including:
- Light domestic tasks
- Medication support
- Meal preparation and encouraging healthy choices
These practical tasks help people stay independent and feel confident in their own home.
Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, "gender" refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
