Location: Lostwithiel

Hours: 37.5

Pay: £12.64 to £12.92

Contract: Permanent

Are you ready for a role that’s bursting with energy, adventure, and purpose? We’re searching for a motivated, spontaneous, and open-minded Support Worker with a true “get up and go” attitude to support a young man in his family home.

This isn’t just a job — it’s about making every day exciting, meaningful, and full of joy. He loves cycling, swimming, climbing, music, dancing, films, and walks in the fresh air. You’ll be the one encouraging him to dive into his favourite activities, explore new experiences, and live life to the fullest.

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of his daily adventures — supporting him at home and out in the community. Expect variety, spontaneity, and plenty of fun. You’ll also work closely with his Occupational Therapist (OT) to ensure his support is holistic, and trauma-informed training is a big plus to help you bring empathy and understanding to every interaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Motivating and joining in with his favourite activities: cycling, swimming, climbing, music, and dancing

• Supporting daily routines and personal goals with passion and flexibility

• Going on outings, drives, and active community trips

• Encouraging confidence, independence, and spontaneity every step of the way

• Collaborating with his OT to follow therapeutic guidance and strategies

• Following a person-centred support plan that celebrates his individuality

What We’re Looking For

• Someone fit, active, and energised — ready to jump into adventurous activities with enthusiasm

• A safe, confident driver with a Full UK driving licence (essential)

• A caring, patient, reliable person with a positive, open-minded attitude

• Previous care/support experience is welcome, but full training can be provided

• Trauma-informed training or awareness is desirable

• An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role

What We Offer

• A welcoming and supportive environment where you’ll feel valued

• Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle

• A truly rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference every single day

If you’re passionate, flexible, and ready to bring energy and positivity to someone’s life, this is the role for you. Step into a job that’s active, fun, and life-changing
