About the Role
- Part time Support Worker
- 12 hours per week
- Caister on Sea, Great Yarmouth, NR30
- Full UK driving licence essential, along with access to your own car and business insurance.
We are looking for a part-time Support Worker to join a fun, friendly, and bubbly home supporting three adults (two females and one male) in their late 30s to 40s who have moderate learning disabilities.
This is a highly engaging and active role where you will provide full support with personal care, cooking and preparing meals. You will play a key role in supporting people to enjoy a varied and fulfilling lifestyle, helping them access the community and take part in hobbies such as horse riding, cycling, swimming, and travelling on public transport. Being confident in the water is essential, as swimming is part of their regular routine.
The home has a lively and upbeat atmosphere, and a good sense of humour is important. One of the people we support can be quite cheeky, so someone who is relaxed, positive, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously will thrive in this environment.
This is a part-time position of 12 hours per week, typically worked as a long day (7am–10pm) with a sleep-in. Shifts vary across the week and include alternate weekends, offering a flexible and varied rota.
About You
You will be someone who brings energy, positivity, and a genuine passion for supporting others. You will feel comfortable providing personal care and supporting people in all aspects of their daily lives, while also being enthusiastic about getting involved in hobbies both at home and in the community.
You should be patient, adaptable, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with the people you support. A sense of fun is important, as is the ability to engage with different personalities and communication styles. Confidence in the water and a willingness to take part in physical and outdoor activities is essential for this role.
A full UK driving licence is required, along with access to your own car and business insurance, as you will be supporting people to attend appointments using your vehicle.
