The Vacancy

Are you looking for your next role?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate person to join Quarriers Arrows Drug and Alcohol Service as a Support Worker (Children & Family Recovery). You’ll support family members affected by someone else’s substance use with practical, emotional and holistic help that makes a real difference.

No two days are the same. One day you might be supporting a parent who is worried about their child; the next, you could be helping a partner build safer boundaries, facilitating a group session or working alongside other services to improve outcomes for families.

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: £30,176 per annum (part time pro rata)

Location: Elgin, with travel across Moray

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills, kindness and creativity to support families, strengthen relationships and help people in your community move forward.

  • Create lasting, positive change for the people we support

What we’re looking for

✔ Caring, patient and a great listener
✔ Passionate about supporting families affected by alcohol and drug use
✔ Flexible, creative and ready to get stuck in

✔ Confident working independently and as part of a team

✔ Able to work with complex family situations while keeping clear professional boundaries

Please note you must be a driver with access to your own vehicle to be considered for this role.

Experience in family support, substance use, social care, mental health or community work is helpful, but empathy, curiosity and a genuine desire to help others grow are just as important.
