The Vacancy
Are you looking for your next role?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate person to join Quarriers Arrows Drug and Alcohol Service as a Support Worker (Children & Family Recovery). You’ll support family members affected by someone else’s substance use with practical, emotional and holistic help that makes a real difference.
No two days are the same. One day you might be supporting a parent who is worried about their child; the next, you could be helping a partner build safer boundaries, facilitating a group session or working alongside other services to improve outcomes for families.
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £30,176 per annum (part time pro rata)
Location: Elgin, with travel across Moray
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll do
- Build trusted relationships with family members affected by another person’s substance use
- Offer practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
- Help people build confidence, resilience, communication skills and healthy boundaries
- Support families to understand substance use, recovery and what is within their control
- Work with a warm, supportive team and partner agencies across the community
- Create lasting, positive change for the people we support

✔ Able to work with complex family situations while keeping clear professional boundaries
Please note you must be a driver with access to your own vehicle to be considered for this role.
Experience in family support, substance use, social care, mental health or community work is helpful, but empathy, curiosity and a genuine desire to help others grow are just as important.
