About the Role Are you patient, calm, and passionate about helping people live their best lives? We're looking for caring and committed Support Workers to join our team in Weymouth, supporting a friendly gentleman in his 20s who lives in his own home.

He is autistic and benefits from consistent, person-centred support that helps him maintain routines, develop confidence, and gradually explore new opportunities and experiences. This is a rewarding one-to-one role where you'll build a genuine connection and make a positive impact every day.

You'll support him to enjoy the activities he loves, including:

  • Watching his favourite DVDs, especially Thomas the Tank Engine
  • Reading stories together
  • Baking and cooking
  • Arts and crafts activities
  • Visiting local parks and enjoying the outdoors

No two days are the same, but every day offers the chance to support someone to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll provide encouragement and practical support with everyday tasks, including:

  • Preparing meals and supporting healthy eating
  • Managing finances and budgeting
  • Providing prompts and encouragement with personal care
  • Supporting independence and developing daily living skills
  • Promoting choice, confidence, and personal goals

You'll also work closely with his family and the wider Dimensions team to ensure his support remains consistent, meaningful, and tailored to his individual needs.

  • Kind, patient, and reliable
  • A good listener with a positive outlook
  • Comfortable working as part of a team while also using their own initiative
  • Passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and maintain independence
  • Committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support

Previous experience in care or support work is welcome but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
