Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for adults living within a mental health service

Our Support Needs & Challenges

Each of us have our own challenges in our lives. These range from Schizophrenia to autism, self-harm, depression and anxiety to drugs and alcohol problems.

We’re seeking someone who brings energy, optimism, and a passion for connecting with others—someone who can uplift and engage the people we support every day

 

Our Shifts:  Staffing shifts are a mixture of 10am till 8pm (10 hour shifts) 12 noon till 10pm (10 hour shift) There is sometimes nights shifts working 10pm till 8am (10 hour shifts) 


Shift Requirement: Both days and sometimes Nights

Contract: 1x Full time 37.5 hours per week

UK Driving License Required? No

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be supporting adults with mental health to live their daily life in the way they wants to live it.  This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Help with engagement with drug and alcohol services, community psychiatrist nurses, The Community Treatment Team, doctors and social services.
  • Managing personal finances and attaining skills.
  • Deal with managing our tenancy’s, paying rent and other housing issues. understanding our rights and responsibilities and to maintain our property.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with friends, family, neighbours, and the local community helping to avoid social isolation.
  • Plan, shop for, prepare and cook meals. Develop a varied and balanced diet and to eat the foods of our choice.
  • Help to access all mainstream activities wherever possible and appropriate and encourage and provide motivational support to people around their social, leisure and learning activities.
  • Help to gain access to local community services, including a GP, dentist, chemist, and optician.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal care, including cleanliness, toileting, bathing, oral hygiene and hair care
