You will be supporting two vibrant, fun‑loving women, aged between 30's and 40's who live together in their own detached, ground‑floor bungalow. They both have big personalities, warm smiles, and a strong love for life and the people around them.

Their home is set in a quiet cul‑de‑sac in a peaceful area, offering a calm and comfortable place to live. The bungalow is fully accessible, with everything on one level, and has a large garden that they enjoy spending time in. Inside the home, the shared dining room is an important space where meals are enjoyed and activities such as colouring, jigsaws and Kindle time often take place. They have friendly neighbours, and there is parking available for staff, with two allocated spaces and room on the drive behind the mobility car. Although the area feels peaceful and relaxed, it’s well connected, with local shops nearby, community activities close by, and a bus stop within easy walking distance.

Both mobilise using wheelchairs and live with epilepsy, cerebral palsy and learning disabilities, but with the right support, they lead busy, fulfilling and meaningful lives. Your role will be to support them to remain independent, confident and active, while ensuring they feel safe, respected and listened to at all times.

They are very proud of their family and friendships, and relationships mean a great deal to them. One of the lady's is bubbly, kind and creative. She loves Twilight, sharks, singing and dancing, and enjoys getting involved in online discos. She also likes quieter moments, spending time colouring, doing jigsaws or relaxing with her Kindle. The other lady has a brilliant dry sense of humour and enjoys making people laugh. She loves horse riding, being out in the community, shopping trips to places like the Local supermarkets, Robin Park and the Concourse, and is always keen to try new activities. One of her goals for the future is to try skiing in Manchester.

Together, they enjoy Netflix, baking, arts and crafts, karaoke, discos, and spending time out and about. They’re happy to use their cars to get out, but are equally comfortable using taxis when needed. They describe themselves as friendly, welcoming and good‑natured, and they get on best with people who enjoy a bit of banter, like to laugh, and bring positivity and motivation into their day. They don’t get along well with people who are negative or uninterested, and they really value being supported with things rather than having things done for them.

Support is provided on a 1:1 basis, with times where 2:1 support is required depending on activities and needs. Shifts include day, evening and sleep‑in patterns, and you’ll receive full training to feel confident in the role, including manual handling, medication, epilepsy awareness and emergency first aid.

This role is about far more than tasks — it’s about building trust, sharing interests, encouraging independence, and being part of everyday moments that genuinely matter.
