Dimensions and a gentleman we support are seeking Support Workers to help provide a family type environment at his home in Weymouth DT4.

Working with another Support Worker or alone (depending on the time of day), Support Workers will empower this gentleman to live the life he wants to. The gentleman, who is in his twenties and has learning disabilities, is very active and would like to meet support workers who will get involved in the things he likes. Activities the gentleman would like his support workers to get involved with include:

  • Playing golf and taking golf lessons
  • Going sea fishing and crabbing (weather permitting)
  • Sharing his love of transport and visiting transport museums, events and steam fairs
  • His love of all things Harry Potter
  • Building Lego
  • Trips to the cinema

This gentleman is also really into animals. He does a day centre placement at a farm and has been known to do dog walking for various people.

There are a variety of shifts available between 07.00-22.00 and there is also a requirement for Support Workers to do sleep-in shifts. Dimensions are able to offer a pay rate of £13.26 per hour (sleep-in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50).

If you are new to support work, don’t worry. Dimensions provide all Support Workers with full training.

Benefits for Support Workers choosing to work with Dimensions include:

  • 30 days annual leave pro rata with the option to buy and sell leave
  • If you refer a friend to us and if they’re successfully employed, you’ll receive a £500 bonus
  • We offer paid training and options to further develop your career through funded accredited courses
  • Bike to Work scheme and discounts on meals, shopping, entertainment, gym membership and mobile phone tariffs
  • We’re a values-driven organisation that puts people with learning disabilities and their families at the heart of everything we do
  • We care about our colleagues and are passionate about our comprehensive well-being strategy and staff listening network
  • Dimensions are proud to be one of very few social care organisations that have been recognised by the Great Places to Work programme in 2019-2025
