Help Build Confidence, Independence, and Belief
Support Worker, Children’s HomesLocation: Wingrave | Full training provided
Whether you’re experienced in care or starting something new, MacIntyre School offers a role where your work truly matters. We support children and young people with learning disabilities and autism to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills through kindness, consistency, and strong relationships.
As a Support Worker, you’ll work closely with young people aged 9 to 19, often one to one, helping them feel safe, understood, and encouraged through daily routines and activities. You’ll be part of a supportive team with full training, clear guidance, and ongoing development. No previous experience is required, just patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn.
One young person joined us feeling anxious and dependent on routine. With consistent support, they gradually built confidence and independence, going on to manage everyday situations on their own and form meaningful friendships. At Maple House, mornings begin at each young person’s pace. Some enjoy quiet time, others head out to activities. Staff support them individually, helping them make choices, try new things, and celebrate small daily achievements that build confidence and independence over time.
