About the Role

We are looking for Female Support Workers in Portsmouth who share our values and are passionate about helping people live the life they choose.

In Orkney, we support nine women aged 20s–60s who live in their own home. They are active, sociable, and enjoy a wide range of activities, including:

  • Trips to local shops
  • Walks and outdoor activities
  • Games and puzzles
  • Clubs and nightclub events
  • Theatre trips
  • Swimming
  • Day services or work placements

Your role will be varied, meaningful, and centred around promoting independence and wellbeing. You will:

  • Provide personal care with dignity and respect
  • Support people to maintain relationships with family and friends
  • Help individuals access healthcare and liaise with professionals
  • Encourage participation in hobbies, activities, and community life
  • Work both independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Use tablets and laptops to complete daily records, communication notes, emails, and health & safety tasks

Gender is considered a genuine occupational requirement under paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Shift Patterns

  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Alternate weekends required

You must be able to work a combination of these shifts.
