Full-Time Support Worker

Full UK/EU Driving Licence Essential - You will be driving a manual mobility vehicle.

Every day is an opportunity to create impact, joy, and independence for the people we support. Whether you're providing direct support or working behind the scenes, your contribution helps create meaningful moments that change lives.

Thanks to our incredible colleagues, Dimensions Group has been recognised as a Great Place to Work® for 2026, marking our eighth consecutive year of accreditation.

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Full-Time Support Worker to join our team supporting a gentleman in his 70s who has learning disabilities.

He leads an active and fulfilling lifestyle and is looking for someone who shares his enthusiasm for getting out and about and making the most of every day. Activities he enjoys include:

  • Visiting museums – most recently, the Tank Museum
  • Exploring the New Forest and enjoying picnics
  • Dining out at favourite venues, including The Pig at Brockenhurst
  • Listening to and sharing music from the 60s, 70s and 80s
  • Returning to swimming and other community activities

The gentleman communicates using sounds, facial expressions and body language rather than words. If you haven't supported someone who communicates in this way before, don't worry – we'll provide all the training and guidance you need to build a strong and meaningful relationship.

As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping this gentleman live the life he chooses by providing support with:

  • Accessing the community and enjoying social activities
  • Managing finances and budgeting
  • Preparing meals and encouraging healthy choices
  • Household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment
  • Personal care and wellbeing
  • Promoting independence, choice and dignity at all time

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, patient and reliable
  • Enthusiastic about supporting people to live fulfilling lives
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care
  • Happy to support someone with non-verbal communication
  • A confident driver with a full UK/EU driving licence

As the gentleman has his own vehicle, a full UK/EU driving licence is essential for this role, and you must be comfortable driving a manual mobility vehicle.
