About the service
PHEW Scotland offers high‑quality residential short breaks for adults with learning disabilities, many of whom also have physical disabilities. Our welcoming and comfortable 14‑bed unit delivers a safe, person‑centred respite care that empowers guests to make choices, pursue meaningful experiences, and enjoy inclusive community opportunities.
About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our skilled and dedicated team. Working within our fully equipped respite unit — including high‑profile beds, tracking hoists, specialised bathrooms, and access to a community minibus — you will provide personalised care that reflects each guest’s choices, needs, and aspirations.
We are currently offering the following hours;
Full Time: 37 hours
Part Time: 25 hours
Part Time (nights): 20.5 hours
Relief contract
Shift patterns
Days 7.45am - 3pm - Lates 2.45pm - 10pm or Long day 7.45am - 9pm
Night shift: 9.45pm finish at 8am (over two nights)
What you'll do
- Deliver high‑quality, dignified, respectful care tailored to individual care plans
- Support guests with personal care, health and wellbeing needs, and daily activities
- Encourage choice, independence, and involvement in community outings
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and the wider staff team
- Promote equality, diversity, privacy and human rights at all times
