Would you like a job supporting people with mental health issues to stay within their communities? Then consider the role of a Support Time and Recovery Worker. It is an important role within a busy Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). You would be employed by Manchester Mind but you would be based and managed by Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust on a day-to-day basis.

Manchester Mind wishes to appoint to the following posts based in the South Mersey CMHT:

Position:        Support Time and Recovery Worker (full-time)

Location:       South Mersey team based in Withington/West Didsbury

Hours:           37.5 hours per week

Salary:           £26,496

Holiday:         28 days per year + bank holidays

Position:        Support Time and Recovery Worker (part-time)

Location:       South Mersey team based in Withington/West Didsbury

Hours:           18.5 hours per week

Salary:           £13,071

Holiday:         28 days per year + bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)

Supporting people in their journey to recovery is an integral part of this job. To ensure that this happens we are looking for a creative, innovative person with excellent engagement skills and a positive and collaborative approach to working with people.

You will need to be a team player but also not afraid to take the lead when needed and we are looking for you to have experience working with people with mental health needs. Experience of using mental health services will be an advantage. Successful applicants will need to be able to show that they can maintain a positive approach to providing recovery-focused support to people using services.
