Support Practitioner – KQ/RA – 3 x 14 hour shifts plus sleepover

Ronald is a 66 year old male who lives in Barrhead who enjoys going for walks in his local community, and has recently expressed to having more time with and trying different activities.

Ronald is looking for a new team member who has the motivation to be creative with innovative ideas around activities suited to his likes and dislikes.

Qualities and skills we would be looking for are as follows:

• Understanding and experience of supporting someone with a learning disability
• A clear understanding of how to work in a person-centred way
• An understanding that all behaviour is communication
• Patience
• Ability to motivate Ronald
• Have a flexible approach
• Not easily phased and have a calm approach
• Can work in a consistent and professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• A clean driving licence to drive a Motability car

• You should have good written and IT skills
• The ability to work alongside others within a Team setting and maintain boundaries
• Work on own initiative and as part of the Team
