Shane lives in the Barrhead area of East Renfrewshire in his own home and is looking for someone to join his small, dedicated support team. Shane loves listening to music, meeting new people and playing pool. A suitable applicant for Shane’s team will be someone who is a driver, up for a challenge and motivated to support him lead a full and contented life whilst making new friends and building on his interests and finding new ones.  

As my Support Practitioner, I have a list of essential qualities that is needed for me:

• An understanding and/or experience of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Be available to workdays, evenings, weekends, sleepovers.
• Carry out 1:1 support.
• Identifying skills and areas for development.
• Link in with Service Support Practitioner/ Service Leader.
• Have a flexible can-do attitude.
• Excellent and clear-communication, IT, listening and written skills.
• Update relevant paperwork
