Job details:

Contract: Sessional
Location: Hull (various locations)
Salary: £12.21 – £13.68 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Team Leader to create a positive, engaging environment for children and young people.
  • Assist and supervise children in a variety of safe, stimulating activities suited to their age and abilities, either one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Encourage and empower children to participate in activities of their choice.
  • Ensure the social, emotional, communication, and physical needs of each child are met with sensitivity to their cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds.
  • Use various communication methods to interact effectively with children, respecting their individual styles.
  • Provide physical and personal care as needed with dignity and sensitivity.
  • Communicate any concerns or changes regarding children and young people to the Team Leader and staff.
  • Contribute to session reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all risk assessment guidelines and stay updated on individual care plans.

  • A patient, non-judgemental, and sensitive approach to working with children.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to travel confidently, either with personal transport or public transport.
  • Familiarity with the local area.
