Job Description: Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Suicide Bereavement Officer to provide crucial support to individuals and families affected by suicide throughout Wales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting individuals who have been Bereaved and have experience of working using a Trauma-Focused, Person-Centred approach. Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain supportive relationships with individuals bereaved by suicide. - Provide emotional support and guidance to bereaved individuals through their grieving process. - Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each individual or family. - Coordinate with statutory, third sector and community resources to ensure comprehensive support is provided to individuals bereaved through suicide. - Maintain accurate records and documentation. Requirements: - Proven experience in grief counselling or bereavement support - Strong IT skills for record keeping and data management - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism in challenging situations This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by suicide.
