About York St John Students’ Union
YSJSU serves the students of York St John University; a university founded on educating students from non-traditional university backgrounds, and to this day, its primary mission remains the same. The Students’ Union offers opportunities, representation, activities, services and advice/guidance to students, helping them to gain the skills, confidence and growth that they require to succeed after university life.
Although we are a small Students’ Union, YSJSU is mighty, with an ambition to be one of the best SU’s in the country. Our current strategic plan gives us the framework to be able to work towards this, and our trustees and staff team are 100% committed to realising the SU’s full potential.
We are an inclusive organisation and are continuously working on developing our understanding and practice around diversity and equality. We have achieved Investors in People Silver Accreditation and are a Disability Confident Employer.
Who are we looking for?
YSJSU are looking for individuals to join the Board who can bring a new perspective, challenge us to develop and innovate, and demonstrate enthusiasm for changing the lives of students at York St John University.
York St John Students’ Union is an inclusive environment, and we particularly welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities.
